Designing AI for All Bias in Artificial Intelligence Systems

A wide range of sectors will be significantly impacted by the growing trend of reducing bias in AI systems. When biased algorithms are used in decision-making processes, unequal or discriminating results can occur. This is known as algorithmic bias in artificial intelligence. Large volumes of data are used to train machine learning models, which then produce algorithms. However, if the training data has biases or represents societal inequities, the algorithms may unintentionally reinforce or magnify those biases. Biased human decision-making that affects the system's architecture, faulty algorithms, and biased training data are some of the variables that might lead to biased AI systems.
